The Miss Kentucky’s Outstanding Teen (MKOT) Pageant's Princess Program is for young ladies age five to eleven years old (as of June 24, 2016).  The MKOT Princess Program is an extension of Miss Kentucky’s Bluegrass Princess Program with a goal of mentoring those young ladies who have an interest in advocating community service and of someday participating in the MKOT Scholarship Pageant and/or the Miss Kentucky Scholarship Pageant.  MKOT contestants will mentor the MKOT Princesses.  All MKOT Princesses will participate in some aspect of the stage production at the MKOT Pageant in June 24 & 25, 2016 in Louisville, KY.  Princess will also be recognized in the MKOT Pageant Program Book.
The Princesses will have the opportunity as provided by the local pageant director and local titleholder to be a part of the titleholder's year of service.  She is encouraged to go shopping with the local titleholder, to accompany the local titleholder on appearances, exercise with her, etc.  The local titleholder is encouraged to engage her Princess in any activity that she can to make her feel part of her year of service as she prepares for the MKOT Pageant.

Each Princess is to provide her own white dress (long gown, short party dress or “Sunday-best” are all appropriate choices) and white shoes.  The dress and shoes must be ALL white (no extra stoning or beading) and appropriate for the age of the young lady.  Each Princess is responsible for her own lodging and meals during pageant weekend.

A participation fee of $150 is due and payable at MKOT Contestant Orientation on April 17, 2016.  This participation fee includes an Official MKOT Princess Crown (which will be worn onstage during all competitions), a MKOT Princess T-Shirt, and one (1) ticket (Program Book not included) to each of both Preliminary Competitions and to the Final Competition.  This ticket is for use by a family member.  The MKOT Princess does not require a ticket for admission.
