The Miss America Organization has partnered with Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals to raise funds and awareness for children’s hospitals throughout the United States. Contestants competing in Miss America-sponsored pageants are now expected to raise a minimum of $100 in donations for Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals and the Miss America Scholarship Fund. It’s not an entrance fee, but a new service requirement. In addition, each new Miss America becomes the goodwill ambassador for Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals, speaking on behalf of kids treated at children’s hospitals and raising awareness around the country. It’s just another way the Miss America Organization helps young women leave a legacy of service, scholarship and support.

Supporting children’s hospitals is a community effort, and your local contestant needs your help. Because funds donated to Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals stay in the community, when you donate you’re helping kids near you—maybe even the children in your own life. Help your local contestant reach her fundraising goal by donating to these two wonderful causes.

Thank you for helping Miss America contestants make miracles happen!

Contestants who compete at the local level must raise a minimum of $100 to compete in a local pageant.  They must continue to raise an extra $100 for each pageant they enter up to four local pageants.  Once they have raised $400 at the local level they will have met their fundraising goal at the local level and do not have to raise additional money unless they advance to the state level.  All contestants who compete at the state level must raise an additional $250 above what money they raised at the local level.  Additionally, all contestants competing at the national level must raise an additional $500 above what they raised at the state and local levels.  To date over $3.5 million dollars has been raised for the Children's Miracle Network Hospitals by Miss America contestants.

All contestants should register at: www.missamerica4kids.com to establish their contestant page and begin their fundraising efforts.
