The Miss Kentucky Scholarship Pageant Bluegrass Princess Program is for young ladies age six to ten (birth certificate will be required). The purpose of this program is to mentor those young ladies who have an interest in competing someday in The Miss Kentucky Scholarship Pageant and promoting community service. The current Miss Kentucky Scholarship
Pageant local title holders will serve as mentors to the Bluegrass Princesses. All Bluegrass Princesses will participate in some aspect of the stage production at the 2016 Miss Kentucky Scholarship Pageant in July of 2016.
The Princess will have the opportunity as provided by the local pageant director and local title holder to be a part of the title holder's year. She is encouraged to go shopping with the local title holder, attend assemblies and meetings where the local title holder will speak and/or perform, exercise with her, etc. The local title holder is encouraged to engage the Princess in
any activity that she can to make her feel a part of her year as she prepares for the Miss Kentucky Scholarship Pageant, as she represents her local pageant at various events throughout the year and as she promotes her platform and community service.
Each Princess is to provide her own white dress (dress must be ALL white, only white embellishments-- no rhinestones, silver, gold or colored sequins, etc. and approved by the Bluegrass Princess Committee) for the Miss Kentucky Scholarship Pageant production plus housing and meals during the Pageant week in Lexington. Also, each princess must submit a head shot photo by email for the 2016 Miss Kentucky Scholarship Pageant Program Book. Cost is $400 which includes 3 sets of 2016 Miss Kentucky tickets--1 set in the Princess section and 2 sets in the parents section. After approved, a deposit of $100 is due with the application and $300 by May 13, 2016.
